Question on changing COP's

So before I started really using this site, I did a tuneup on my 2000 5.4l.. Went to autozone and asked for new COP's, and they sold me the rubber boots and the coils ($60 for 8).. so I replaced them when I did the plugs. After reading some other posts, It seems like the guy on ebay who sells new COP's also sells you the head with the electrical connection - only for slihgtly more money. Is there a benefit to changing out the head as well?? Is there any benefit to doing what I did (just the boot and coil)?
Thanks for the help.

The head you refer to IS the coil. I got 8 COMPLETE cop's for $96.00.
If you changed the boots, did you use dielectric grease ?

Is this what you changed?

If the coils are good there is no need to change them. What you did was fine.

Yup, that's all I changed.. an NO I didn't use dialetric grease!! I recently read that if no grease is used, the spark can "fly around".. or something along those lines. The truck is running great, is that something that will develop over time? I thought the coils were the spring looking things that I did change, go figure.

Thanks for the replies,
Todd
