I have an 06, FX4 with 9500 miles on it. Since I got it 3000 miles ago, the throttle response has been awful. There is a very noticeable lag when you step on it, taking a sharp turn, and when I start going up a hill. If I try to lightly give it some more gas the same thing happens. Anyone have the same problem? Is this just normal?

How do you drive? I.e., granny or semi to fully hard (no pun intended).

Two words - Troyer Performance.

 

How you drive it won't really come into play. I couldn't believe what a dog my '04 Lariat was. Dealer can reflash which they did to mine. Still not what it should be. Custom tunes are the only answer. As stated above, use the search feature. This subject for '04+ has been beaten to death.

 

I have a '06 FX4 as well and have no issues. Then again, here are a few things that really brought this truck to life:

Magnaflow exhaust system
Edge Evolution tuner

No lag now!
