7700gvw
Getting ready to go look at a used (01 I think) 7700gvw super cab 4x4.
I have seen a lot of info on the regular gvw, but does anyone know how the gas mileage is on the 7700 and do they come standard w/ 4.10s? |
Gonna be normal bad mileage just like all the other trucks.
From my research they could have 3.31 or 3.73. Not too much difference at all between them and the regular F-150 other than the 7lug rims (which does have plenty of aftermarket choices), and the big 4R100 tranny. Incase anyone asks wtf this thing is... '97-'98 F-250LD https://www.supermotors.net/getfile/...ze/f250-ld.jpg And when the superdutys came out fer '99, it changed to the... i have a 97 4.6 4wd. i had 18 bags of plaster mix at 50lbs a bag. she handled it no problem. drove 12 miles to my buddys house he doing a basement remodel. the 7700 model is just a marketing gimmick in my opinion.

the gas mpg between my 97 f250 (still own it) and my 01, 5.4 3.55 supercrew (rescently got rid of) was very close the f250 gets around 12.5 in the city the supercrew got about 13.
01 had a better ride. the f250 has a much better transmission and the brakes last forever. |

My real concern was that another thread some time ago stated that all HD 150s had 4.10s and therefore poor MPG, even for a truck. BTW thanks for the info, adrian. |
