Need Help with Oil Pan

Hi everyone

I am new to the forums and needs some help. My aunt has a 1985 Ford F-150 and it needs a new oil pan installed. I need to know how difficult is this job and what needs to be done to get the oil pan off and the new one installed. I am not to familiar with fords or their trucks. Im a chevy guy that owns a vette and a camaro but just need some help to get my aunts truck back up and running. Thanks in advance for the help.

What engine: I6 or V8? The I6 (300ci/4.9L) pan can be changed by merely lifting the engine off the frame so it hits the firewall (loosen the fan shroud first), but with a V8, you might as well pull the whole engine to change the pan. It's a nightmare trying to do it with the engine in the truck.
