Wierd Noise After Shifting into second

Ok im not too familier with diagnosing sounds. under hard acceleration when it shifts into second the RPMs drop back to about 3100-3200 as normal then it hesitates for a second fall out about 100 rpm. This is also accompanied by a kinda raspy clicking ratling sound. im not sure what this is but any ideas on what it could be and how to fix?

Thanks
Flex

Detonation, spark knock, ping, whatever you want to call it. Check your timing, or run a tank of 89 or 91 octane through it.

I've never tried this, but maybe a can of octane booster in the tank may help. I had this problem with a '97 4.6, and a tank of 89 would clear it up, but yeah, poor fuel will definatly cause this.

Timing is all computer controlled, it's not adjustable.

ok i have uncovered another side of this problem, the noise is gone havent heard it anymore thx to a tank of 93(thx f151), but the "flatspot" "bog" whatever you wanna call it is still there, i did this tonight 4 times and it worked everytime. After it shifts into second right before it hits the "flat spot" if i flash the throttle (lift and gun it) no hesitation, no drop in rpm, just keeps on pulling so what am I tricking when i lift and gun it. something still not right. but its only in second. thats what i cant figure out i have tried to rev it to 3200 rpm to see if i hear a miss or something and got nothing, i also took it up to 3200 in 1st and nothing happened, i am baffeled.

**EDIT**also i dont know if i mentioned this during normal driving it does great its only does this at WOT***

You can check the timing - use the marks down by the pully , that noise could be the chain - timing can be out if it jumped a tooth..To re-ajust your timing you have to reset the chain and fix the guide or guids that came apart.
