i was reading some good reviews and i was curious as to whether anyone on here used the kit. i already have a programmer so will it make that much of a noticeable difference?

I'm wondering what other mods (if any) you already have. Point being, I think this would make a bigger difference if you already had a good exhaust and CAI setup. Spending almost $450 for the MAF but not opening up the rest of the system might not give you the desire affect (or make much sense).
A tuner seems like almost a must to take advantage of this.

edit: I just noticed it comes as a kit with the CAI included. I guess that takes some of the sticker shock out of the $450 price but now I'm wondering how good their CAI is????

Without a lot more info, I'd be wary of adding this kit to an 04+ truck.

Too many risks when altering the MAF - transfer function issues, A/F's, etc.

From previous posts, a larger/different MAF will almost certainly require custom tuning on this platform. A canned tuner is not gonna cut it.

I recently installed an Edge Programmer on my 04' 5.4 and it ROCKS. You are able to change a lot of settings and it also monitors several things on your truck. Here is the link, and I HIGHLY recommend it to all.

Makes a fair paper weight. Spend your money on a good air induction system & a tumer.

^^^^ - good advice.
That maf costs about the same as an Xcal2 with three custom tunes!!

I'm sporting the following:

Flowmaster 40 Series
AEM BruteForce CAI
HELIX Throttle Body Spacer
Edge Programmer

I no complaints from any of the mods that I've made so far, but being on the coast, my muffler is starting to rust through being almost 3 years old, so the next mod I make will be complete exhaust. Starting from installing Headers with probably a Borla Exhaust, but not sure exactly what exhaust system I will settle for yet.
