Dielectric Grease

From what I've read on here I think I've figured out the specs for which grease to use, what I'm wondering is how to apply it. do you just fill up the hole the plug is in or do you put it in the COP? thanks guys

Pull the boot from the coil, the spring should stay attached to the coil - if not tighten the winding and reattach on the coil blade. Make sure the springs are fully pushed on the coil blade .

Dielectric Grease - cover a long screw driver blade with the grease and insert it into an empty boot. Coat the entire insides of the boot well - don't worry if you get some on the spring when you put it back together. Then grease around the top seam of the boot where it meets the COP. After install grease the void between the cylinder head and boot to keep moister from building inside the plug chamber..

Don't stop there, do the battery posts and terminals, cleaning them first. Then and probably most important, the starter where the red cap covers the electrical connections, all under there. Dielectic compound is great stuff, and prevents alot of headaches.

Thanks, Actually , most everything I do is learned from others on this site. It does help that I've owned Fords all my life, still , I gained more knowledge from this site than I had before hand.

Documenting threw pictures and and diagrams can't be beat!!
