Motor mounts (in the middle of pulling)
Hey all, hope some can shed some light..
I have the tranny unbolted and lift attached to engine, all i have too do is remove the long motor mount bolts,.
they seem to be turning very hard, and i cant get a decent tool in there and have enough leverage to work it out..
Is there a trick i am missing, is there a better way to get in there
i am currently trying to get on them from underneath, but its pretty tight..
i hate to do it, but i may break out the air gun and use the swivel attachment..but i am holding off for now
thanks
Chris

they are free, feel as though they are riding inside the rubber of the mount, just very tight..I have soaked em down in PB blaster, just a very rough spot to get hand tool movement..
actually the threaded section sticking out is pretty clean, suprised me actually..just figured i was missing a way of getting at em
thanks

unfortunately i dont think there's much you can do about it if thats the case... unless you can work the pb in deeper by exposing threads, spraying them and tightening it some.

a bit tight, only knicked the condenser fins a couple time, pretty sure there are no holes
left the hood on too, so that was cool, only thing that got snagged up but not wrecked thankfully was the engine harness and main fuse buss, if i had know i would have tried to move aside
ya i tried gettin a bit of the load off with the lift, finally i used a bunch of extensions and was able to get the power too it.
I guess even with the impact i would have had to use extensions..
i know it seems silly i didnt try the air right away, but i would have had to lug out the compresor and run a chord, i know stop whining..lol, any way its out
and thanks to all of you that have been responding with all the help and advice
now to get that core plug in, and freshen up some gaskets and seals..
Thanks
Chris
