2002 f-150 super crew 4.6, engine?

hey guys, I have a problem with the truck and not sure what it is! lately ive been driving down the road at 55-60mph, and ill go over an over pass or 2, when i go over the over pass, i notice my truck jolting a little bit like its missing or it has water in the gas or something? it doesnt seem like a tranny problem, because ill hit the gas and it seems go through the gears fine? anyone else ever have this problem??

bad cop or plug maybe? wait for the CEL.

Not a COP, as it is a 4.6 with coil packs (4 cyl at a time)... this one perplexes me... you cannot duplicate it except going over overpasses?

why do you think the 4.6 doesnt have COP's?

yeah. for some reason it only does it going up a slope or hill when im slowly accelerating at like 55-60.. and yes no check engine light yet.

go to a tranny shop and have them take a ride. sounds like its hanging up on torque type shift

1999 was the last year for coil packs on 4.6 L engines. Starting in 2K, they are also COP systems.

Typical low-grade misfire. There are dozens of threads here about this problem.

While it might be a slight TC shudder, the ignition system, with its history of this symptom, should be looked at by someone who can look at the Mode 6 data.
