05 5.4L issues...

Last Saturday, my truck (05 F150 Screw 4x4, 5.4L, 27,xxx miles) developed an extremely rough idle, like it was loading up on gas. Went to the local Autozone, code reader wasn't receiving anything from the truck computer. Called dealership. They say they can look at it today. I head to the dealership. I don't make it. Lost power, bucking, snorting smoking like a freight train. Get towed to the dealership.

Yesterday afternoon, they call me. Seems my truck misfired on 4 cylinders. The motor was locked up when they went to pull in the shop. They replaced the 4 injectors, & plugs, (didn't say anything about coil packs), and the truck still has the warm idle knock in it. They're replacing/fixing the cam phaser and assorted parts today.

My question is this: If the injectors washed the cylinders down, to the point of lock-up, isn't there going to be more damage than a cam phaser? I'm not up on the new engine tech., but usually a locked up motor is bad news..........

Is this common? Am I going to have trouble from now on? This bothers me!
