PCV Valve
Sorry for the repost on this issue.. I did use the search button but didnt find the answer I was really looking for.
2002 SuperCrew 4x4 5.4 engine, does that engine still have the PCV valve in it and does it need to be changed on a regular basis??? Thanks. |
It does, and it's in the passenger's side valve cover. I think the official maintenance schedule is something like every 100K miles, but they're cheap, so I'd go every 60Kish personally.
I highly recommend Motorcraft for a replacement - ultimately, a PCV valve is a calibrated vacuum leak. Use of a valve that isn't quite right within the factory parameters could cause some driveability problems. |
when you say PCV you dont have to say valve. you can say PC valve but PCV valve is incorrect. the V in PCV stands for valve.
just thought id clarify that. |
