hello all, i am very dissapointed with Ford Motor Co.! I had a new engine( block had cracked) put in at a Ford dealerhship about 1.5 yrs ago with about 7000 miles on it and now the head gaskets are blown. I called Ford and they told me b/c i had the engien put in under extended warranty (Ford) it was only covered until warr. expired! They then told me if i had payed cash for engine it would be covered 3/36. i was curious if anybody has any input to what i can do to try to get this covered b/c i don't have the $2000 they want for the head gaskets.

Are you saying you installed a "used" engine? Or the factory replacement has died at 7000 miles, 18 months old. I would nag Ford some more about this. If you take it to small claims I'm sure the judge will rule on your side.

 

yes i had a brane new ford long block put in at a Ford dealership!
