No experiance with Rhino, I have used Jasper. The crate engine is a durable unit. You can also get your same block rebuilt if you are concerned with matching numbers.

Had problems with 1 Jasper engine, but the rest were good. We deal with ATK engines a lot, never had a problem with them. Never heard of Rhino.

in the government agency I work for, we have to replace an ocassional engine

last year we had several crown vics that police officers tried to turn into a submarine i.e. the air intake that is mounted low sucked up some water and caused the pistons to blow the engines

we normally buy complete drop in long blocks to replace these engines from one of the local ford dealers on a low bid basis
Jasper asked to bid last year, but what they delivered was not what we spec'd parts were left off
at bid opening there was a $100.00 difference between ford and jasper, jasper was $100.00 lower so we awarded and bought
when the engines arrived they were short of several parts, water being one of them. they stated that this is how THEY do the engines
After the addition of missing parts their engine cost more than the ford reman.
We will be more careful next time, if low and one arrives wrong they will get it back and we will buy a ford reman engine

even though jasper baited and switched, we have had no service/performance problems with their reman engines, they now have about 75,000 moles on the engines, the cars are used 24/7 unless in shop.

have no complaint on service, just did not like them not providing the engine as spec'd

they were install by shop before I was aware, otherwise I would have refused them and ordered them picked up and removed by jasper
