It has plugs, 8 of them. There is one under each coil pack. There is a coil pack for each plug, thus it does not have spark plug wires.

Since this is your first post, I am guessing that you are kidding...or I hope you are. That's like asking if a motor has valves or if person has eyeballs.

By the way, not all Triton motors have coil packs on each spark plug. My '98 F-150 with the 4.6L V-8 had a coil pack in the front of the engine and wires back to each plug. The 5.4L has coil packs on top of each plug.

Oh, I thought it was kind of a weird question from a truck person.

Its not a problem. I have been working on engines all my life and when I looked at my new one, I was confused. No spark plug wires kind of threw me.

Unless you are driving a diesel truck, yes, your truck has spark plugs, it depends what year of truck you have, and what engine to explain to you where the plugs are, but to be honest, it´s kind of hard to find the plugs on the 5.4 engines, at first sight it seems kind of tricky

Diesels don't have spark plugs, and 2 stroke engines don't have valves.
