Yes dirt. I was on a 1/3 mile but the track closed over the winter after 53 years, now it to Williams Grove 1/2 mile.
The car class is super sportman with 358 limit, 4 barrel and alky fuel.
We are one of only two Ford powered car running here.
The other has been track champion twice and in the top five for the last 10 years. We are quite new so still getting a handle on things yet.
The power range is in the 500 + hp in a 1800 lb car.
On the short tracks this power level lifts the front end off nearly all the way down the straights.
A lot of fun to say the least.

We run mostly at Ventura Raceway, which is a 1/4 mile dirt track. People try to close it down every year, but so far, it's still standing. We are also limited to 358ci, but it has to be a Chevy block, and we use mechanical fuel injection. Our car weighs around 1300 lbs., but we don't have any wings. We run at Perris sometimes, which is a 1/2 mile track, but it takes some getting used to. The set up is completely different, not to mention the gears. lol.
i love sprints. Most exciting racing there is, IMO.
If you can watch .mov files on your computer, there are two videos I put together that I think you'll enjoy. One is 20MB & the other is 30MB. If you watch them, let me know what you think.
Take care,
~Chris
