I'm Running again, F-150 is back on the road, But I have a question..
My oil was changed today and I watched the lube guys at Ford ...

Upon inital start up, my truck run for half a second to two seconds with a god awful sound of no engine oil, than ran good..

They made this comment of it being a 04 with shurged shoulder's and told me thier is a TSB out for this, they explianed to me that it's not a issue to worry abought as all early production 04 do this, my truck was built in august of the new production run...

I'm not worried but interested if any one knows or has heard of this, My torn seat will be repaired under warenty once the parts are in and than I will be dumping my truck on the used market place...

If you don't prime the oil filter, by filling it completely, most engines will make a similar noise.

It takes quite a while to fill the filter, and I don't think any dealer or quick lube place is going to take the time to do it.

They all do that. It's normal. Put a half a quart or so of oil in your filter before screwing it on and it'll help minimize it, but given the brief period of time that happens, I usually don't worry about it.
