My 1997 XLT 4.6 4 x 2 rolled over 200,000 a week ago. Apart from tires, shocks, etc only items replaced have been the heater core ( what a pain! ) and the alternator. Still runs great and hardly uses oil.

I pray my truck last me this long or better yet 300k!!, I got it for 10k with 45k miles on it! My dads 96 f150 5.0 had 280k miles on it when the tranny took a dump replaced and drove for like 5k miles and sold it! This truck was used everyday as a work truck with at least 1000lbs of tools in the bed and a 4 man crew when I was working with him!!

200,000 miles on my 2000 F150

My 2000 F150 XL Supercab, V6 w/5spd, turned 200,000 this morning. First time I've seen this in my 45 years. Cool to see.

I'm 2,000 miles shy of 200k on my 2006 4.6L. Seeing all of these posts makes me feel a LOT better about buying a truck with so many miles. Ford built these to last.

Just passed my old 81 F150 on the road 2 days ago... Sold her in 2004 with 350k... Put a new 4.9L in it at 310K and Clutch in around 290k. She is looking beat up but still running around town.

Just realized I am posting this in the V8 forum... oh well... still a Ford truck.

Last edited by BennyHanna; 11-01-2011 at 02:43 PM. Reason: 4.9L is 2 cylinders short and a split shy of a V8

Talking 265k

I now have 265,000 on my 2004 FX4 5.4L 3V and 135K on my 2007 Expedition 5.4L 3V. Both run sweeeeeeet 5.4L is a strong motor if you keep the oil changed and the plugs swapped out.

Thumbs up

My '97 Ext Cab XLT 4.6 has 215,000 and is daily driver work truck. I pull a trailer several days a week as well, but know this will get the best of the auto trans eventually. Chassis is showing her age, but still a great truck.

225000 miles on my 2002 Scab Lariat with the 4.6 Romeo but I had to replace the timing chains and oil pump at 165000 and just had a spitting spark plug recently.
