89 5.0 question
 

I'm getting an 89 f150 ext with a 302 ,it runs great 160,000km but the bodys pretty bad i plan on using this engine in a mustang so what i'm wondering is how much HP does the 89 302 f150 make?also is the engine mass air i know in 89 they were in the stangs..

I'm not sure about the HP rating but should be in the 180 range.
I do know it is Speed Density engine control. ( not mass air).
The engine is not built like a Mustang of those years.
Not roller cammed or even the same fire order.

I know the 91 5.0 makes 185 hp @ 3800 rpm, and 270 lbs-ft @ 2400 rpm. That's what it says in the 91 f150 brochure. I think my 5.0 in my 91 still produces the same. An 89 should be pretty much the same with EFI.
