It is a 5.4 with 2 more pistons, though I do not believe that it has PI heads. So all but the heads, cams and crankshaft will interchange.

I think it is a 6.8 liter engine. You can also get a 5.4 liter V8 with the Super Duty.

The V-10 engine has PI heads. It's HP was increased from 275 originally to 310 in 2001 i believe.

What would you like to know about the motor? Gas mileage, dependability, specs?
I get an average of 12.5 mpg and mines a crewcab longbed 4x4 with 3.73 rearend. I drive it fast but not crazy. Plenty of power and considering the size of the truck thats good mileage. However I didn't buy it for mileage. I drive 100 miles round trip to work each day and wouldn't trade it for anything else.
For anyone getting a superduty crew cab I would highly recommend it. But then again I am biased.
