Best place (price) to get Mobil1 Oil and Filter
I'm moving to Mobil1 and would like to find out where everyone else gets theirs. Any help in saving me some $$$$ would be great. :bows:
Also... I have about 54,000 on my 1999 4.6 4x4 Ext F150. Do I need to worry about anything with going to Syn after running regular (Q-State) oil all this time? Should I also get the Mobil1 filter or stay with motorcraft? |
In my area, Walmart has all viscosities of Mobil 1 on sale in 5qt jugs for 18.99/ea. Needed 6 qts for the change and had to buy one qt bottle @ 4.49 ...(Kinda hurt when compared to the 5 qt deal!)

Thanks for the info. I will look at Walmart.
Anyone buy it online? If so... where? |
I buy mine at BJ's Wholesale Warehouse, a club membership warehouse. If you have these (or another club warehouse) available in your area, go check it out. They have good prices on all sorts of stuff, including tires and oil. Most will give a free 1-day membership for you to check it out. I pay $23.39/6-qt case.
But they don't sell Mobil1 filters. I have to get that at AutoZone for $11.99. If anyone has a better price for these, please let me know. |
Wal-Mart has the best price on Mobil1 and Motorcraft filters. If you feel you need to spend the extra $8.00 more for a Mobil1 filter then do it.But Motorcraft was made for your engine and is cheaper....:rocker:

At Wal-Mart & Sam's Wholesale.

Mobil1
Hey,
I've had great luck with mobil1. I just recently retired a 1976 Cordoba with a 400 4bbl and 276K miles that ran on strictly 1. I get mine filed at any Spped lube in town. Still costs $50 a change.. RW |
I have to second on Walmart for M1 and Motrocraft filter.
|
Sams Club and Costco both have the six individual quart boxes for $23.00 something.
|
Thanks all. I am now running Mobil1 and a Motorcraft filter that I got from Walmart. Thanks all for the feedback. This is the best site.:rocker:
