throttle body spacers

Has any one experienced any gains from installing a throttle body spacer such as the helix or others? If so how much and what type?

I gained a pretty cool paperweight from mine

Do a search on it and see what you think, but I think the general consensus is DON'T waste your time or money...

Here's one thread...

You will gain a pretty annoying whistling sound from your intake with the "helix" type (or at least I did)...

Most people seem to think that they rate right up there with the "Tornado"...

Good luck...

I also heard that if you glue or screw them to your workbench, they make a great beer can holder! My impression is the same as has already been posted. Don't waste your maney.

I've had mine on and off for the past 3 years. There's a bit of a whistle on mine but the noise being sucked in by the K&N overrides it so much that it's not much of an annoyance.

I experimented with it again when I bought a 4000 # travel trailer last spring. It was when I was towing that I noticed a difference. I could feel an improvement in low end tourque.

The more torque the better for towing, so it's a keeper!

I seem to get about 1 mpg better gas mileage. I took mine off a truck that was traded in, I'm glad I didn't pay for it, it wouldn't been worth it.
