I'm looking into 3:73's

I also looked at getting the renforced aluminum cover, its for the 8.8. will this help with the new gears.(can't hurt) can it??

figure it will cool better and stuff.
it is suspose to renforce the axle and not let it move? I think.
oh with the 3:73's I'm finally going limited slip.:D

any comments.

I just do to much highway traveling for that.
4:10 would be fun but it would be killer in gas.
and the good stuff to cause of the chip..:p
but thanks for the heads up.

I don't know. I didn't know that gettign a housing would do anything but protect the gears. If I was gonna do it, I would get a chrome one.

A differential cover like the one you purchased or one from MAC really helps the rear end. The stiffer and stronger aluminum will strengthen the whole rear end allow less twisting and and play when under a high load like when dropping the clutch at 4K rpms. it will not hurt at all and in many ways is benificial.

another reason why they are good would be that they allow the rear end to hold another qt. of oil. this ultimately reduces the gear oils temperature.

When I swap gears, I will also be doing the cover at the same time.

Great Price!

also... 3.73's would be a great choice!

I found a whole rear end, with limited slip and rear disks plus it has 3.73's, so this new housing is for that.
I just figured if I'm going to do it, do it right.

thanks for the info talley.

best thing I saw on it was the easy fill and empty.:D
