Well I came across a little surprise changing my oil today. As me and a buddy got under my 97' F-150 we noticed a nice thick bar that runs right in front of the drain plug of the oil pan. Now what Ignorant dumba$$ came up with that one. Is it one of those bright ideas ford has to make the consumer have them change your oil. We just took a funnel and popped it up there after I got the plug out but oil still hit that bar and splattered all over my friends garage floor. What I want to know is, WHAT THE HELL IS THE DAMN BAR FOR?!!

 

i have an 00 so i guess they fixed that problem.
