I have an 02 super, 4.2 auto. I hear a whrilling sound when the motor statrs to rev from idle all the way up to highway speeds. In gear or out it sounds like a blower or the chainless timing gears of the past. I believe it to be coming from the tranny. It shifts fine. Does this sound normal? The truck has 5,500 miles on it and the heaviest thing I have hauled was my 4 wheeler in the bed. Thanks, Jerry

 

Sounds like a whining power steering pump but its not up front.
