is this too big?

Ordered an 80mm and the speed shop goofed and i got an 87mm for the cost of the 80. Calibrated for 30# injectors......OH YEA BABY

Got a set of 30# injectors, ported lower intake manifold with removed IMRC butterflys, and the MAF sensor all ready to go in.

he's got:

black magic electric fan
superchip
jacobs ignition
AutoNet Vortech 7-8PSI Supercharger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and other mods... this is what I remember

he needs the 87mm w/ 30#'s.

But hey f150freak... why just 30#'s???

I need 42# injectors after my heads get back... Mike says the 42's is what I'll need with a 190lph fuel pump. Mike and myself both are estimating 450BHP at the end of the year when I'm finished.

btw... that's with a 150 shot.

motor will handle it when it's built.

i wouldn't be surprised at 450hp from mods like those.

what tranny are you running? how much can the stock tranny and rear end handle?

f150freak 06-16-2002 07:15 PM

why 30# injectors, beacuse I dont intend to add anymore horsepower after I get done with this series of mods. With the exception of a new blower pulley.

I am expecting to get a nice gain in horsepower from the intake. Although the IMRCs are there to give low end power the theory is with the forced induction the IMRCs are doing more harm than good. A perfect example is the bullit mustang. Alot of the Mustang guys say the intake is too open, but MM&FF installed a supercharger and then did the bullit intake and the intake gained a dynoed 34 RWHP. I am hoping for a similar affect with this intake, obviously not as much power but I am hoping for a sizeable increse.

Oh Tally, the fan is history. Motor went out for no reason and for some odd reason the Jacobs was causing my truck to stall so thoes two are gone. CHip is still here but not installed, needs to be reburned. After I get done with these mods I will be dyno tuning it.

yes... 34rwhp and 1.6rwtq. I have the article in my hands. For your info, The IMRC's do more harm than good once you reach the 325-350RWHP mark. Wether it's n20 or blown power.

I am removing mine as well when I'm finished. Only problem is it increases top end HP only... luckly the blower will compensate for the low end torque loss.
