I am finally getting it back. Three months ago i through a bearing in my 1997 f150 with the 4.2. That was the second time that happened the first time it was from the fualty front cover gasket. So I went and bought a 2001 5.4l with the transmission it has 13,000 miles on it.The same guy i bought the engine from is installing it. Basically he had to change all of the wiring from headlights to taillights.Also the driveshaft,instrumental cluster,fuel pump,computer,airbag and suspension.But i am finally getting it back I cant wait to get in it and see what it has.

But I was wondering what i s the first thing i should do to this 5.4 Performance wise?

Get a rearend for it, if you didn't swap it out already!

 

I got my truck back and nothing was done to it . So me and my brother are doing it on our on.Its alot of work but I think we ca n get it.
