I know of a 1998 f-150 with 4.6L that had only one oil change with 40,000 miles on the truck. Of course the customer was in repair shop for a engine replacement! That person deserves to be walkin!

30,000...

Had a '58 Fiat that went about 30,000 without changing the oil. It leaked about a quart a week so I didn't see the point. Always kept a case of Raylube (19 cents/qt.) in the trunk. Bought it for $75 sold it two years later for $75. Those were the days!!

I changed the oil for a friend of mine for the first time at 84,000 miles in a 92 Isuzu pickup. No thats not a typo. The truck was running hot and sounded like crap, so I started asking him questions. He didn't know he was supposed to change the oil. We wre both about 22 at the time and delivered pizza. With the new oil the truck immediately quit running hot and started idleing about 200 rpms lower. He was still driving it the last time I saw him about a year after the oil change. By the way he got the truck new for high school graduation, so I know the oil wasn't changed earlier.

2780 miles is the longest i've gone in my truck. I try to stick around 2,500 miles per mobil 1 synthetic w/ mobil 1 oil filter. of course, i spend about 80% of my time near redline so i kinda have to.

I've run a Honda before without oil for about 3 miles or so. It's still running. Of course I sold it after that incident, but that's another story..
