Gears
I have a 2000 Reg Cab XL. I am trying to figure out what gears im running in the rear. I know the only two produced for this model/year was a 3.08 or a 3.55... how do i find out wich one i got?????? thanks

Okay,
According to Mashie Banks....on a previous post....
"Take a look at the tag on the inside of the driver's door frame. You'll see an axle code at the bottom. Here are some of the more common ones:
19=3.55 gears, non limited-slip
18=3.08 gears, non limited-slip
H9=3.55 gears, limited-slip
B6=3.73 gears, limited-slip."

You will either have 3.08, 3.31, or 3.55 for the XL. Now if you do not have the sport package then you do not have 3.55 gears. just look on the back differential cover and you will see two tags and one will have your gear ratio. 3 55, 3 31, or 3 08 and you will also see a 88 for 8.8" rearend
