2001 f150 camshaft synchronizer replacement

I have a 2001 F150 with a 4.2L. I have 5 codes stored in my PCM. P0340 is why I need to replace the Camshaft synchronizer. What all is involved with replacing the camshaft synchronizer? I also 4 other codes in my PCM. Like codes P1131 & P1132, P1309, P0171. Would anyone know, or have an idea on how to fix these codes.

Normally it is referred to as the camshaft position sensor. If you google those codes you come up with info such as the following links that give you some idea what to look for and troubleshoot. A V6 owner should chime in soon and tell you where to find it. If not, I will look it up in my manual tomorrow.

Thank you I truly appreciate your reply. I have already located it. I'm going to look up those codes in just a few minutes. I know that there may something else besides the cam sensor triggering the P0340 code,. But, I have all the symptoms of the cam sensor. Again, thank you very much for your advice..
