I'm new to the group, jumped out of a 2007 LBZ Duramax down to my 2013 F150 EcoBoost. I bought the truck a few months ago and it had several codes. Most of them were coming from faulty spark plugs but p0299 is still there. Not causing an CEL but it throws the code randomly. I can drive hundreds of miles with no issues. Then it will fall on its face and feel sluggish and when I check the codes, boom P0299 is showing along with a bank 2 catalyst under threshold. Dealer "cant replicate condition" I'm lost on what to do. It doesn't start after towing or any heavy acceleration just completely random. I've heard wastegates are a issue with these. I checked all the hoses and intake components and nothing out of the ordinary.

Why did you dump your LBZ for the gasser?

 

I got this when towing my camper... I swapped out the blow off valve on the intercooler. So far... the code has not returned.
