Hopefully better luck this time

Just purchased a new 2018 XLT Supercrew with the 3.5L ecoboost, traded in my 2011 the day after I checked my engine code and found P0016. Reset in the dealer parking lot to trade it in and it popped up again as the were driving across the lot to evaluate my trade in ,just my luck. Hope this isn't a issue with the newer ecoboost. If so I will trade it in sooner

I haven't seen anything about timing chain issues on anything except the first few year models. Even then it seems pretty sporadic. How many miles were on it when the code came up?

Just turned 80,000 miles. Never towed with it. I question if the quick oil change place that I used the last year was using the right stuff. Always went to the dealer before that.
