Check engine light

I have a 2015 F150 SupCrew with 142K miles ...90% highway. when I jump on the gas peddle to quickly accelerate the check engine light will flash and it is very noticable something is going on. Had it check out and the service shop could not give me a reason. Do the plugs need to be changed out at 60K intervals?
Thanks

Ecoboost plugs should be changed at 40k intervals. NA V-6 and 5.0 plugs can go considerably longer, but if you have 60k on the plugs I would change them regardless of engine if it's misfiring. A flashing CEL is caused by misfires. It's possible you have 1 or more failing coils. Was the service shop able to retrieve any OBD2 codes? Did they try to read any live data?

Yes, glc is correct, flashing CEL means active misfires.

I would replace the plugs with Motorcraft plugs and replace the coils.

You're due for plugs and get the lower boots too. I wouldn't throw coils at it unless you're getting open circuit codes. There's coils aren't that cheap and don't seem to fail that often.
