2011 F150 3.5 Ecco compression loss

I posted a few weeks ago about my f150 lurching when letting off the brakes. I have had hell with the inter-cooler water issues. I took it back to the dealer and they claim the computer is showing a 7-10% loss of compression on cylinder #3. This truck was purchased new and only has 44,000 miles on it. How can I have this problem on a truck with so few miles and maintenance performed regularly? Of course my power train warranty expired last October. I have a friend who thinks the rings may be stuck and will fill the cylinder overnight with transmission fluid, change the oil and put a compression gauge on it. Has anyone had this problem before? Could a 7-10% loss of compression make the truck surge and or lurch when letting of the brakes? It idles fine and has all of the power it had when I bought it. There are no noises at all and no misfires, codes, or check engine lights.

A stuck or broken ring could cause compression loss like this. I'm not seeing how it would cause it to lurch at low speed though.

That much of a loss on one cylinder is within acceptable tolerances. No, it will not cause it to surge. It has another problem.
