Angry 99 4.2 running terribly and can't figure it out!

I have changed many parts on this truck and I can't just keep guessing. I have changed numerous sensors, plugs and wires, cats have been cut out and this thing runs good sometimes but stalls others. It is never a steady thing. It has a mind of its own.

Codes? Check the compression. Check the fuel pressure.

You could be more descriptive about the problem.

In a forum from bonefishr who has a 98 for and I have a 99 with a 4.2, everything that his truck is doing mine is doing the same thing. Very rough idle most of the time. Stalls at lights or when stopped and I have to feather the petals to keep her running. I have done plugs, wires, fuel filter, imrc (which wasn't even hooked up), maf, and it runs a little better now but it still ain't right. One out of 10 times it runs really rough and shakes violently then dies and when you start it back up it runs fine.

As roadie said, tell us what the codes are and check the compression and fuel pressure. No one can give you much help without at least some codes.

These are the kind of questions you are going to get when you are posting in 3 threads about the same issue. I'd recommend you start from the beginning and keep it all in this thread.
