ecoboost shutter cylinder 1 and 2 no fire

I have a 2011 xlt ecoboost. While driving home from work one day I punched the throttle to pass a diesel and it started studdering and the engine light started flashing stating a misfire. I stopped at the local auto store n the obd2 said cylinder 2 misfire. I took it to my ford dealer and they said they hooked it up to their misfire machine and could find nothing. Well after further diagnosis they said that cylinder 1 and 2 were not firing under a throttle load. Granted the truck only misbehaves when you throttle it down. Can anyone help? Dealership has no idea what it could be.

Said coils were fine. Tech said it might be the phasers.

how many miles? More than likely plugs.. Most recommend changing around the 40k mark. These engines are rough on plugs.. I made it to 40,800 until my original plugs decided to start acting up..

45 mins later i had 6 new plugs in and its running great..

The 11 and 12 EBS are known to have very uneven gap from the factory.. Ford now recommends .028 on the gap. Seen some early Eb's reported to be in the high 30's to upper 40's on the gap.

I just replaced my plugs at 16,000 miles. Was getting misfire and rough idle. The factory plugs were gapped at .042". Gapped the new plugs to .030" and all is well. Mine is a 2011........
