head gasket leak

Have a 99 F150, leaking water into #6 cylinder(4.2 6cyl). I've only added about half a gallon of water this year but I know it will get worse in time. Would a radiator stop leak buy me some time so I could do it in the spring time, if it makes it that long?

I would not recommend putting anything short-term into the radiator. My dad did that and it clogged up the heater core (I no longer have heat) and when I finally DID get around to doing the head gaskets, the jackets were clogged with all sorts of crap.
