I recently purchased an 06 F150 with a V6. The truck has 100,000 miles. I have noticed that when I stop at a light or just stop and the truck idles it has a shake or a shudder. It's not violent but it is noticeable. It also has a ticking/knocking noise when driving at lower speeds. It may do it all the time but I don't seem to notice it as much when causing at highway speeds. Any ideas on what my issue could be? There are no check engine lights on either. I brought it on a trip that is about 700 miles round trip. Wanted to see what the truck can do, and as captain Ron says "If it's gonna happen it's gonna happen out there." Any info would be greatly appreciated.

 

If the spark plugs have never been changed, they are due - possibly plug wires too.

 

Ticking turned out to be dip stick not all the way seated.
