ecoboost engine oil - blend or straight synthetic?

for arguemnts sake, lets say you blow an engine or have a problem. Will the dealer do anything more then check that theres oil or evidence of oil? Could they really determine what brand was used and other characteristics.
I would tend to think that they would be check for a correct oil filter, and that there was oil of some kind. It wouldnt surprise me if they really went into it and dealers are really hawks on warranties now.

With that said to many of you put to much effort and headaches into oil selection. You act like its a child of yours. To be honest with you your standard high production engine that we all own DOES NOT CARE OR NEED ANYTHING special. as long as it has it and it changed.

I have only 1uoa @10000 miles. I had 5w-20 weight. I want to see a 20 then 30k mile uoa. I did have high silicon. High fe as well, but not by much. Engine not broke in yet. Im running S9000..I have no doubts the numbers will come down, before going up. My 6l had problems at first until I got it on S9000..
