To view it you must press and hold the reset button while you start your truck. After started continue holding until "test" pops in the digital area. There are many features in there, so what you have to do is press the reset button to file through until it reads "tach0000". It will read some value if you start your truck and will read 0000 if you just have the ignition in the run position with the truck off. Hope that explains it good enough. If not, ask me to explain again.

Well put, and thanks. That'll save me the trouble of istalling an after market tachometer.

Thumbs up

Sport, It worked on my truck with the digital odometer and I have a 99' Ford F-150 XL Sport So it should work on yours as long as you have a digital odometer! Cool huh?

Question

can you set it to come on every time you start your car? or do you have to hold the damn thing down every time you start the truck.

Wink

I've been trying to find that out myself. I believe that the one marked fuel, represents how many gals of gas are int the tank, with the last number representing a tenth. With a full tank mine will read about 243. As for the rest of the readings still haven't got a clue, but checking into it.

I've researched into that option myself, but no success yet. If anyone finds a way I'd like to know.
Also would like to know the where it redlines, and stck setting for rev limiter, looked at the xlt's tach goes o 6000 rpms, but no redline markings..

Question

Hey C. Mathews,

I was thinking that the number it shows for fuel represents the amount of miles left to travel with the amount of gas you have left.

Another cool thing that I'm sure some of you have probably noticed is that it has a digital speedometer too! This is cool for me because my MPH gauge was thrown off when I installed the Indiglo's. But now I can set it just right!
