My fuel pump went out a few weeks ago, replaced and ran fine. Now today I was taking off from a light in first gear it almost died out at take off and it spittered and sputtered into the nearst parking lot. Now it takes a long crank to get it started or have to try it a few times and its veru very rough once it gets going. seems to run alittle rough at idle as well, try to take off in first and it seems like it just wants to die out, reverse and tried it a few times and did it everytime. any suggestions on what it could be?

Service light was on and read vap leak and bank2 running lean

 

replaced the IAC and that wasn't it

 

Replace the fuel filter and fix the vapor plumbing that probably got screwed up dropping and reinstalling the tank.

 

the fuel filter is new was replaced when the pump assembly was changed. Didn't drop the tank just pulled the bed off. It has always had a evap like going on 3 years now.

 

Whatever - fix the evap system. It's probably gotten to the point where it's now a major vacuum leak, tripping the lean code and making it run like crap.
