Running E85 in 2007 4.2l V6

Will it hurt anything? Or what would I need to do to run it?

Not like I got any E85 stations even remotely close to me, but I'm curious to wonder if I went on a maiden voyage and found one of those nifty E85 stations, would it hurt the truck?

You won't be doing the engine any good using it. The issue is more along the lines of the GF-4 oil that you'll have in the engine doesn't have the ability to deal with the volumes of water that comes with the combustion of ethanol. The newer GF-5 oils will have that ability but I've not seen any on the shelves yet.

Interesting... so say if I ran E85, would I have to change my oil often? Or wouldn't the interval matter?

btw: gf-5.com has some pretty interesting info.

No go. It will run lean enough to throw a CEL and possibly burn valves. Don't even try it.
