4.6 wont start

4.6 wont start

I have a 06 f150
it was running great untill i got home (at least it didnt strand me)
When i try to start it it does nothing except i get a clicking in the throttle body
and the butterfly is moving with the clicking. Amy help would be appreciated.
Oh and the battery is fully charged. thanks again.

You might get more help in the V8 section. This section is dedicated to the 4.2 V6.

Check your battery cable ends. Check them at the battery posts, as well as down on your starter. Sometimes they get rusty down on the starter and just need a clean connection. Hit them with a wire brush or something. Also make sure they haven't been exposed to the exhaust and melted the sheathing and shorting out. Just some things I've had happen to me that may help you.

This might help, but my moms 5.4L had a very similar issue. I had to trim the negative wire at the battery because it wasn't getting a good enough connection. Also I had to replace that terminal because it was shot, beyond cleaning it. I'm not 100% about this fixing your truck, but its worth a shot.
