specially since it either stands for "Grand Touring", "Gran Tourismo" both of which dont apply to a F-150

well if his ram is stock, it is 310hp@4000 and 450Lb-Ft@2800. im guessing it was also a 4x4?? even tho yours is maybe around 230-250hp. which helps you out tremendously. you ever have it dynoed?

what year is your roommate's T/A?
and also every vehicle downshifts during WOT so it automatically would go into 4th or 3rd or whatever. my t/a at 65 if you floored it, it went into 2nd gear. shifted from 2nd to 3rd around 87mph unless i had someone else in the car with me, then it went past the red in the tach and shifted about 92mph. i loved that car. really want another one.
jesus! im not thinking straight with this. let me do this once and for all. my trans am was P,R,N,OD,3,2. not 2,1. i remember i was mad that there was no 1 because i wanted to cruise at 25mph and make it so people could hear my V8 because the stock exhaust at low rpms was quiet. people would always come up to me asking or even telling me i had a V6. then i would rev it and theyed be like holy crap! i had to throw it into 2. cant believe people think a trans am had a V6, when it only had one for 1 year.

actually i dont have a problem with most GMs. and most cars for thet matter. i have owned 3 GMs, 1 chrysler, and 4 fords. all of them were good except my 86 chevy Custom-10. it wasnt bad in general but the bad things were... it had a 5.0L 2bbl with 160-165hp, it had no *****, got 10mpgs, had a 13 gallon gas tank with a retarded filler neck so pumping a gallon of gas took 5 minutes sometimes, it was a very bumpy ride, not a lot of room inside cab, broken gas gauge, 3 spd auto(1st topped at 30, 2nd at 55 and 3rd at 90mph) was 2wd, heater's fan didnt work so it took 20 minutes to defrost the truck before you could go anywhere, no a/c, tranny made a weird noise, manual choke, and the list goes on. it wasnt a BAD truck, just annoying and slow and had to take a half hour at the pump filling it up sometimes. the engine sounded good with the stainless exhaust that was on it but i didnt like it. my other 2 was a 89 V6 firebird, and a 96 trans am. my chrysler was a 90 5th avenue and my fords were a 78 f150 custom, 97 I4 ranger, 04 f150 heritage, and now my 08 f150 wish i still had all my vehicles, including the chevy truck(just so i could play around and try to break it lol)

here is the video of me racing the 96 ram i posted the times for earlier. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaRrB4dFo2Q
i dont know if it is a 318 or a 360(guessing 318) but it was a 4x4. and yes i know my reaction time is HORRIBLE. i had to roll up my window and got the green right after i finished rolling it up. i actually got the green .1 second before the ram. and my buddy was taking the video and was using my camera so he didnt know how to zoom. the ram won but i had a quicker time and was going faster. i would have won if my reaction was better

my buddy wants to know why you got rid of the T/A. here's his car before we installed t-tops:

ohhhh, his is a formula... and yes it is an LT1, what year? i know its 93-97. 82-02 camaros/firebirds are the vehicles i know best. firebirds/trans ams have always been my dream cars. love the flip up headlights but also love all the others except the 78-81 style, like in the 2nd smokey and the bandit. the one in the 1st one is sweet, its a 77 T/A. i dont like the front end of the 78-81 style.

his is a '94. beats me from a dead stop but if we go from 20, my second gear pulls me ahead of his auto. cant wait for UDPs and a tune to come in so ill have more low-end torque and beat him both ways!

93-94 was rated 275hp, 95-97 was rated 285hp. mine was rated 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and a 14.0@101mph 1/4ET. your buddy's is rated 5.8 and 14.1 but with an auto the 0-60 is 5.9. i clocked my auto at 5.8 with 65k on it. and tell your buddy to check the rear tires often for tire wear. sorry to everyone about the amount of space im gonna take up, but its a lesson learned by me and a lesson taught to many.
here was my firebird

my trans am before

trans am after accident

this pipe used to come out at the notch

here is the scene.

here is a panoramic view. it looks longer than it was but it was still a distance

HERE IT IS BROKEN DOWN

i was going about 53mph, hydroplaned after hitting a bump on a curve which moved my rear end into a rut full of water, saved it, lost control about 1 second after, over-corrected and went off the road. i didnt hit the brakes till after i left the ground. all this happened in PA at 6:15AM on 11/20/04. it was still dark so it was scary as hell because i had no clue if i was gonna hit anything. it was in OD when i lost control. not horsing it. the rear end of these cars is very light. so tell him to watch it in the rain.
