Raptor's efans!
So my fans came in today from FedEx and I sped over to my buddies house to install them (dad would go berserk!) On the way I topped off so I can track my mileage. Last three top off yielded 17.5-17.9-and 17.17 mpg. Let's see how much efans help!
Anyway, here ya go: Opening everything up http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...1/DSC03238.jpg 16" s-blade http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...1/DSC03239.jpg Pulling everything out. Fan was a breeze. Just put a monkey wrench and a quick jerk broke it loose and just spun the fan by hand until it threaded itself off http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...1/DSC03240.jpg Testing the fan before I install it. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...1/DSC03241.jpg me wiring up the controllers ignition http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...1/DSC03244.jpg AH! ITS ALIVE!!! http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...1/DSC03247.jpg and a vid for you guys http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...h_MOV03250.jpg |

Good job man!! keep us posted on any mpg gains.... any noticeable difference driving it?

only one 16" fan. i dont know if thats gonna be enogh im pretty sure triton motors 4.2 4.6 or 5.4 need 3,000+ i had 2 16" fans pushing close to 5,000 CFM at one point now i got my massive 24" lincon mark 8 fan pushing 4,200CFM. id get another one if i were you chasing around all those FSU chicks ur trucks gonna get hot ;)
also another fun test is have the fan on and have some paper at the grill and see if it sucks it and holds it. im gonna go take a video of my 24" fan haha man im bored today. heres the vid of mine holdin the paper to the grill http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...0609091913.jpg i think i have one of my 16" E-fans soemwere ill look if i find it ill send it to ya! |

It looks good. shifty, if ya have an extra 16" sitting around, i'd buy it off of ya! next week ill be buying another one to sit it next to it, but i'd rather buy a used one vs a $70 new one, so lemme know. this one is rated at 2500CFM and she runs a little warm (195-205*) at the lights but yeah, that thing could suck a golf ball through a garden hose! accel seems more peppy, even with the A/C on. i cant tell a colder A/c, but she sure gets up and goes a lot quicker. my friend with a V6 firebird is now scared to race me  i cant wait to see the mpg gains  |

you scaring me dude... but thanks, i think it looks sexy sitting in the bay. not to mention a lot more room to work with!!! next up...U/D pulleys! shifty, if ya have an extra 16" sitting around, i'd buy it off of ya! next week ill be buying another one to sit it next to it, but i'd rather buy a used one vs a $70 new one, so lemme know. this one is rated at 2500CFM and she runs a little warm (195-205*) at the lights but yeah, that thing could suck a golf ball through a garden hose! accel seems more peppy, even with the A/C on. i cant tell a colder A/c, but she sure gets up and goes a lot quicker. my friend with a V6 firebird is now scared to race me  i cant wait to see the mpg gains  I remember when I was your age... I was having fun with my '99... :rocker: Brings back some good memories. Sadly, I still miss my '99. :o |
195-205 is fine anything above 230 is bad mine in stand still traffic at rush hour for about 15 mins of idleing never gets above 205. i forgot it a few times and it hit 220 but the fan brought it down to 205 in just over a min. i forgot i traded my buddy my 2 16" fans for his one big one. so hes got it. go to the junk yard and pull one for 30 bucks.
yes it makes life sooooo much easyer for belts i replaced my alt and tenisoner after doing E-fans and holy crap it was easy!!! as for your mileage...frist tank will prob suck bc ull be into it alot because of the new found power ;) |

Alex, hit me up via email, AIM, or PM about your setup. I might be able to do a cheaper install after all.
