Engine Swap vs CPU

I have an F150 just swapped it for the same motor not starting it acting the same as it did when i swapped the cpu turns over has fuel at the rail just not firing. My question is do you have to swap the cpu with the engine or even get the key reprogrammed???

why did you change engines when you didn't know what the issue was in the first place????

you only need to swap ECM's if you swap to a different automatic transmission (4r70 to 4r100 etc, or if you swap from a manual to an automatic trans)

I changed the enigine because the head gasket was blown and/or the head was cracked. The truck was wrecked 3 yeas ago and the guy dint have insurance or a way to fix it. Anyways the problem was the plug on the distubutor was broke. So now its running but its running rough and can beary idle. Had 4 codes swapped the iac and cleared two of them however it didnt fix the idle problem.
