Puttin Horses Under the V6

hey everyone i have a 2003 black f150 with the 4.2 v6 and it is a pretty peppy truck. ive beaten a number of ricers around the town and plenty of other v6s as well. who makes performance parts for this engine though? as far as exhaust, intake, cams, forced induction, computer, shifter, throttle body, etc.
thanks a lot and all help will be greatly appreciated

1. Magnaflow SI/DO
2. AF1 or K&N, (CAI)
3. Troyer i think has cams or Super Six Motorsports
4. There is no F.I. kit for the 4.2. However custom fabbed turbo setups have been done by TJ: and a few others on v6power.com. Also you can get an adapter plate for a m112 or m90 supercharger from supersixmotorsports.com.
5. Troyers Xcal2 is a great programmer with custom Troyer Tunes or VMP tuning.
6. They make transglow shift kits for our trucks also.
7. Throttle Body spacers are worthless i wouldnt pay money on one.
8. Gears are a great performace mod get yourself some 4.10's the truck will accel faster.

Trimble named off some really good things.

id go with a mac cold air intake, imco muffler (not the extreme unless u want loud) but the imco turbo (universal muffler) sounds pretty good. especially if you go with a true dual setup and an H pipe.

the SCT xcal2 as stated by Trimble is great!

factory tech valve body is a good mod for the transmission.

other then that I think 4.2trimble pretty much named it all off

oh u could get some headers too...

I highly recommend doing a port and polish. Although you might want to find a "test subject" from the junkyard before you do this because unless you've done it before, you might mess up. I learned the hard way, but it was on my friends Firebird.
