Engine Tune Up
Question:
I own a 1998 F150 XLT 4.2L V6, that I havent driven in about 7 months and will begin driving it again in the next few weeks. It currently has about 117K miles on it and still runs like a champ. I plan on tuning it up and all before driving it again but I am unsure if there are any other major things I should replace, check, etc, before driving it again. Also, since it has high mileage I want to prep it so that it still lasts me quite awhile. I currently use a Pennzoil 10W30 grade oil with premium filters. (oil, air, fuel, etc) Should I switch to any other type of oil for higher mileage vehicles to make it last longer or will the basic Pennzoil, Ive been using, work just as good?? Any helpful information or knowledge will be appreciated. Thanks.
