f150 mass air sensor
f150 mass air sensor
Anyone else have trouble w/ the mass air flow sensor? I had to replace mine, ($400.00); the tech. said my air filter had come apart and some had been sucked in. He also said it may have damaged the seals; and my check engine light came on this morning, (there goes the seals). Ford said new seals will cost $600 - $800! Anyone heard of this problem?

they said they'll have to replace the intake manifold seals. the service tech recommended i buy ford oem air filters from now on ($30/each!). funny thing is, the whole time, the engine has been running fine, no hesitation, no overrev, no excessive exhaust??????
Did they also tell you your blinker fluid needs to be changed? Or,your muffler bearings need to be re-packed? How about the tail pipe being too short and they can use there pipe stretcher to fix it? I strongly suggest finding another Ford dealer to go to.
