I just traded my 2002 f150 for a 2001 ford escape, the f150 only had 30000 kms on it, and when I traded it in it wouldnt start, that is one of the reasons I had enough, anyway talked to the dealer today and they said they had to put a starter in it, one ball joint, one tie rod end and brakes all the way around, holy crap can you imagine it only had 30000 k on it. Thank go I got rid of it I had the truck for a year and a half and it spent around two weeks in the shop.Hopefully I have more luck with this escape.
DID you get a good price on trade in? It was a sharp looking truck. I have a friend who has an escape, sorry man -but he is having problems with it.
I am looking to get a 2002 f150 I will definetly get an extended warrenty

I have just one thing to say... car dealers are just like attorneys.. the will tell you what ever they need to and will lie just becuase they dont know any better... Id bet they cant produce a work order for those repairs and I bet they dont show up on vehix either..... they told you that crap to make you feel better about your purchase.. there is little chance the truck in your pic, (very well maintained I might add), could need those types of repairs.....
repairs
That is actually what I figured too.The repair list seemed a little extensive for the age and mileage on the truck. I am actually having problems with the Escape already. I loved my truck but I really like my escape too hopefully things get resolved. I actually paid $29,000 CDN for my truck so it was around 35000 out the door with extended warranty, taxes...blah blah blah, and after owning it for almost 2 years I got $18,000 for a trade in. Not much of a financial investment but you know what they say "if you want to play you have to pay".
