Lay it on us Mr. N. Armstrong

You must have a few tricks that are working, sure everyone will appreciate hearing from an astronaut. Im impressed with those numbers from a light duty truck.

110k...i bought it april 02 with 62k...sucks livin out in the country...i cant believe in less than two yrs i put 48k on a vehicle and im only a high school student...and u can also subract about 3 months because i couldnt afford it at one point so i took my dads 97 tbird and gave him the truck but he never drove it but maybe 30 miles a wk cuz he has a company truck..but eventually my sister had to start driving and i didnt think she should get the truck for free so i cut a deal with him where i pay half and i took it back nov. 02...lately its been idling roughly and it loses power sometimes like its not gettin fuel (i guess)...when i get money ima have it check at a shop..and i usually have to crank it a few times to get it to start (if anyone knows how to help me there PLZ let me know)...ive had the cranking problem for over a yr and ive had to replace a starter because of it...anyways just addin my name to the list...btw my trucks a 98 xl with the 5speed (i forget if that info is in my sig or not)

100,000 miles.

Just hit 100,000 miles on my 02' F-150. Haven't had any issues other then having to replace the coilpack, plugs, wires, etc.. at around 90K miles. Other then that she's still running just as strong as the day I drove it off the lot.

Just passed 160,000. Replaced the engine with a brand-new one at 140K miles (cost my dad 4 grand) I'm runnning 5W-30 Motorcraft oil on a Fram PH3600 oil filter. I also live in Fla and 5W-30 is perfect for this heat. I've got one of the strongest 4.2L's in northern Fla with 230hp! Beat a '00 Dodge RAM 1500 HEMI V8 off the line with my 5-speed manual and finished the 1/4 miles with like 5 car-lengths in front of him. Also got a vid of me and my friend (his '95 Toyota Camry) racing. I was about 2 miles away before he gave up

One thing that surprises me is that guys ( flame suit on) are using Fram oil filters in this application. I know they are widely available but lack, at least on the PH 3600, a drain back valve. I would be hard pressed to use anything other than a Motorcraft filter becasue they have the valve in them. (Flame suit off) 07 f150 Reg. cab short box 4.2 auto, 4,000 measly miles. Many more to go

I got 101,368 miles on my '99 F150 before I traded it... ran fine... just needed a new clutch. No big deal though...

Not bad either for a person who learned how to drive and how to drive stick on the same vehicle! Put nothing past the M5OD-R2!

So I bought a '03 Escape, and traded the F150... Stuuuuuuuupidest mistake I could have ever done. That think broke within 10,000k miles, At 9,000 miles, I had like 8 CELs, and the dealer was only able to only read 3 or 4 at a time... they said they never saw such a thing. The transmission went out 4 times, on the 4th, I finally traded it up for my '07 F150. Not a problem yet, and it runs PERFECT every day. I got only 62k on that Escape before it shot it's 4th transmission... piece of crap.

My '07 is great with only 8,863 on it... changed the oil yesterday with Motorcraft 5w20 with a Motorcraft FL-400s... purrrs like a kitten...

103,000 since I drove off the lot. change oil every 3k with motorcraft filter and cheap 5W30 walmart oil. replaced coil pak, wires, plugs after cracked CP around 80k. replaced 3.55 gears for 4.10 around 90K. pinion seal is weaping royal purple a tiny bit. replaced 5 speed tranny fluid twice with RedLine oils from summit at 40K and 100K. Replaced battery with premium auto zone around 90K. Have had to chase some ground issues due to new england salt on roads. mostly a problem with the old bolts that held the coil pak on. recently the tripometer back lighting has been intermittently going out. still don't know this.
also, my gibson super truck aluminized lasted for 75K miles, the air raid with K&N still great. Underdrive pulley from troyer so far 20K and great. Rhino liner for all 103K is great. Efan from a MarkVIII with flexolite controller 20K and still great. Powerslot rotors and hawk pads and moog control arms for 20k great. i will keep this truck.

137.XXX on my 99 4.2. I have changed all sort of *****. I changed them for the piece of mind not because they were bad. Front and rear breaks, serp belt, water pump, thermo, plugs and wires, and flushed and new rad fluid at 130.000 miles. Changed trans oil at 70,000 miles. last week I had a idleing problem. So trying to figure it out I changed pvc, elbow, dfpe sensor, front o2 sensors, cats and flowmaster exhaust and cleanning the IAC 2marrow. Oh yeah I did the diff oil today with Royal Purple 2day. I have done all this because I plan to reach the 250,000 mark. I tell me 11 yr old son that he will be driving my truck to school one day. Future plans a 3 inch lift kit wheels and tires. New stock wht paint job, new rear lights, front xexon lights, air intake, 3in exhaust pipe, new 3rd lights led, billet grill, crome gas door, maybe tv and dvd player and antenna. I just tell myself that its cheaper than making a monthly payment. Payment free since 6/05

Everythign has been great with it. Kinda doesnt want to start in the mornings sometimes, but this my be my aging battery... Other than that-- its excellent.

I bought my truck w 151,000 on it hydrolocked, for $1500. Thought it was the head gaskets. Ended up being the intake gasket(after engine was out of the truck). Put a jasper reman in for 2500 dealer cost:-) w the 3 year unlimited mileage warranty. While the head gaskets i figured(done by me) would of had no warranty so this was a win win situation for me. But i had to replace the rad and heater core because the previous owner must have read the barsleak bottle wrong and just put that in and no coolant.Took 2 hours w a steam pressure washer to clean it all out of the intake. Now the truck has 188,000 on it. I have to say other than the lack of power and poor mileage, this truck is great. NO squeaks, rattles, shakes, vibrations and is very comfortable to drive. The driver seat cusion is a litte soft and my front bumper is rotting out and the front of both bed sides are rotting BUT at that kind of mileage the truck is still in really good shape
